Patuá Dance

Established in 1993, Patuá Dance aims to increase opportunities for all members of the community to see and take part in live performance, to include individuals from a variety of cultures, backgrounds and abilities, and to contribute towards the understanding and acceptance of a multicultural and multi-ability society. Patuá developed its unique theatrical language by combining dance, music, theatre and storytelling, and bringing together influences from Brazilian, Latin and European cultures to create unique, memorable performances. Patuá works in schools and special schools with young people of all ages and abilities, and has recommendations from many schools and local authorities throughout Wales. Patuá Dance also runs cultural exchanges between Wales and Brazil.
